Dayton Futbol Academy conducts tryouts prior to each Fall and Spring season. To stay informed about upcoming tryout registration details, we encourage you to join our email list and follow us on social media. All registrations for U9 and above are managed through the mandated Demosphere system.

For other programs, we offer a user-friendly digital registration process on our website for your convenience. Whether your child is a novice stepping onto the field for the first time or an experienced player aiming to take their skills to the next level, DFA is ready to support their journey.

At Dayton Futbol Academy, the commitment is thoughtfully designed to match each player’s age and development level. For our youngest teams, a typical week involves two practice sessions, creating an engaging but manageable introduction to club soccer. As players mature and transition into more advanced formats, such as 9v9 and 11v11 play, the commitment naturally grows. This structure ensures players develop steadily, gaining the necessary skills and experience to thrive competitively while maintaining a healthy balance with other activities.

The amount of travel involved depends largely on the league and competitive level in which each team participates. For younger teams and those competing in the MVYSA league, games are generally held within the local Miami Valley region, keeping travel minimal and convenient. As teams advance to higher levels, such as State and Regional leagues, travel expands accordingly. Players at these competitive stages can expect to experience a broader range of locations, potentially participating in matches, tournaments, and events across a wider geographic area within Ohio and surrounding states.

Dayton Futbol Academy caters to a broad spectrum of age groups. We initiate our player's journey with our Juniors Program, designed for U7 and U8 players. This program is skill-focused, helping young players make the transition from recreational soccer to a club setting, preparing them for competitive play starting at U9.

Our main try-outs are held every Spring for the upcoming year. We also conduct supplemental try-outs at the end of summer and during the winter for those who might have missed the main try-outs or are looking to join mid-season.

Dayton Futbol Academy proudly competes in a variety of Ohio Youth Soccer leagues. This includes the Ohio South State League (OSSL), Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association (MVYSA), and Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League. Each of these leagues provides an opportunity for our teams to compete against top-tier youth soccer teams in the Miami County, OH area, and throughout the state.
